Spring 2024 Newsletter
It is starting to feel a lot more like Spring already, and we are well underway with our 2024 programme, having already had 4 classes in London. However, this year, the best is still yet to come! With Alain Croibier coming to teach NM5 and the first ever UK Manual Articular Advanced Joints, Gail Wetzler teaching Gynaecological Manipulation and the first ever European Concussion Recovery class, Jean-Pierre Barral teaching his brand new Manual Approach to the Brain 3 class, Mark Bloemberg teaching VM6 and Viscerovascular Upper which is making its London debut, there is plenty to excite even the most experienced therapist. Meanwhile we are still running our core curriculum classes, with VM1 in June and both VM2 and NM2 happening in London in November.

Alain Croibier is coming to the UK!
Alain Croibier works extensively with Jean-Pierre Barral developing this work. He is co-developer of the Neural and Manual Articular curriculum and has co-authored many of the books. He has a teaching style that is very clear and precise and we are delighted he will be teaching 2 classes for us in May in Ayr.
These are Neural Manipulation 5 – 15th – 17th May 2024 and Manual Articular Advanced Joints – 19th – 21st May 2024. At the moment we do have a few spaces left on each. It will likely be many years before these classes return to the UK and they are rarely taught anywhere in Europe , so it is a great opportunity not to be missed!
Vascular is back
The vascular curriculum is focussed on evaluating and treating circulatory issues, with learning how to specifically evaluate, palpate and release restrictions in arterial flow. This class is in 2 parts – Viscerovascular Upper and Viscerovascular Lower. We are running Viscerovascular Upper for the first time ever in London from 20th – 22nd November 2024 and Viscerovascular Lower will be in Ayr from 22nd – 24th November 2025. For these classes there is a prerequisite of Visceral Manipulation 4.
Concussion Recovery comes to Europe for the first time ever!
We are excited that in September Gail Wetzler will return the UK. She is teaching her brand new class Clinical Interventions: Concussion Recovery for its debut outside the USA. This class is based on research into head injuries and the options for treatment with the Barral Approach. The prerequisite for this class is VM1 & LT1 and the dates are 4th – 6th September 2024 in Ayr.
Gynaecological Visceral Manipulation
While she is here Gail Wetzler is also teaching her one day Gynaecological Visceral Manipulation on 3rd September 2024 in Ayr – this class is open to all with VM3 and a licence for working internally including osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, medical doctors, nurses and midwives . We are the only place to offer this class outside the USA and this can bring valuable skills for more fully resolving pelvic and fertility issues.
The Brain curriculum
The brain curriculum is Jean-Pierre Barral’s latest development and will restart in November 2025 in the UK. We are delighted that Mark Bloemberg who has been assisting Jean-Pierre on all his brain classes will be teaching Manual Approach to the Brain 1 from 26th – 28th November 2025 in Ayr. We then plan to run Brain 2 in 2026 and so on. To participate in the Manual Approach to the Brain 1 class you need to have taken either VM1 or NM1 and Listening Techniques 1 (LT1). If you have not taken LT1 you can catch it in Ayr 2nd – 4th March 2025.
